Readers Contest

XXIV International Festival of Children and Youth Creativity and Pedagogical Innovations "World Art Assembly".

Festival Dates: November 23-30, 2023 (10:00-22:00)

There are two equivalent forms of participation are provided: IN PERSON and IN ABSENTIA.
 

 
Participation forms: IN PERSON and IN ABSENTIA
There are two equivalent forms of participation:
1) IN PERSON participants provide: originals of art objects;
2) IN ABSENTIA participants: video files with performance are provided for the contest. The jury views video clips and puts ratings on a par with in person participants.
 
The dates of the competition of readers and the schedule of auditions by the jury members are available in the section "Schedule".
 
 

TECHNICAL REGULATIONS / PARTICIPATION RULES
in Readers Contest

Participants in the reading contest recite works in Russian.

Nominations:

1) Poetry (performance of works by famous authors)
2) Prose (performance of works by famous authors)
3) Theatrical reprise
4) Performing own works (poetry and prose)

Age categories:
- Category “Kids”: up to 7 years 
- Category “Young”: from 8 to 10 years 
- Category “Middle”: from 11 to 13 years old 
- Category “Older”: from 14 to 16 years old 
- Category “Junior”: from 17 to 21 years 
- Category “Teacher”: not limited

Performances are evaluated by the following parameters:
1) Artistry
2) Understanding of the text

Technical requirements:
The contestant is given time for performance up to 3 minutes.
In case of a theatrical monologue, it is possible to use props and assistants.
Collective participation is allowed in the “theater reprise” nomination and each of the performers must voice the text with a total duration of at least 30 seconds.

According to the results of the jury's work, lists of winners are formed for each age and professional category and in each nomination. The winners of the competition are awarded with diplomas of the Organizing Committee and the Artistic Council of the competition, recommendations for artistic directors, participation in a number of foreign exhibitions. All participants receive a certificate of participation (Diploma).

Arts & Crafts Contest

in International Arts and Crafts Contest

 

Art objects presented for the competition can be performed in any decorative and applied technique, using any materials - oil, acrylic, gouache, watercolors, tempera, plastic, natural materials, leather, etc., the size of no more than one Whatman sheet.

1) Decorative painting
2) Decorative panel
3) Murals, inlays, carvings
4) Souvenirs and gifts
5) Jewelry and accessories
6) Ceramics
7) Mosaics and stained glass
8) Forging and casting
9) Architectural layout

Age categories:
- Category “Kids”: up to 7 years 
- Category “Young”: from 8 to 10 years 
- Category “Middle”: from 11 to 13 years old 
- Category “Older”: from 14 to 16 years old 
- Category “Junior”: from 17 to 21 years 
- Category “Teacher”: not limited

The jury assess categories separately.

Technical requirements: 

1) full-time participants provide art objects prepared for exhibiting:
а) flat objects should have devices for hanging on vertical panels (hooks, mounts, eyelets, etc.);
b) volumetric compositions and objects should have supports that prevent obstruction of the object.
2) in absentia participants present photos of the competitive works in electronic form, the organizing committee print received files, prepare them and present in the general exhibition. The file must be at least 150-300 dpi and up to 15mb.

1) IN PERSON: original art objects or personal performance are provided for the festival competition program;
2) IN ABSENTIA: the organizing committee prints the files sent to the Organizing Committee with the entries and places them at the exhibition in an art book. The size of the printed A4 files.

Art objects presented for the competition can be performed using any technique, using any materials, the project size is up to 2 meters on the larger side. It is possible to present creative work in the form of an action or performance on stage (up to 5 minutes).

Design Requirements:

1) in person participants provide art objects designed for exhibiting for the competition:
а) flat objects should have devices for hanging on vertical panels (hooks, eyelets, eyelets, etc.);
b) three-dimensional compositions and objects must have supports that prevent the object from falling.
2) in absentia participants provide photographs of competitive works in electronic form. Sent files must be at least 150dpi, no more than 20 MB. each. The Organizing Committee prints in absentia works, draws up and places in the general exposition.
